IMMERSE yourself

LifePoint started something new in 2025. On Wednesdays, starting in January, we gathered to fellowship and to IMMERSE ourselves in Scripture as we read through the New Testament together. And we saw God show up in powerful ways!

For 16 weeks - Wednesday, June 4 through Wednesday, September 17 - from 7-8:30 p.m. we'll continue that journey with IMMERSE: Beginnings, the first five books of the Old Testament (i.e. the Pentateuch or Torah), in a Bible experience for the whole family. And we hope you'll join us!

What exactly is immerse?

A Bible reading experience for the whole family ...

The Early Church Model

While Bible studies aren't new to LifePoint, this format and gathering is something closer to the way the early Church met. In Acts 2:42, we see the early Church, "... devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." And as they did this, these believers grew -- in numbers, yes, but also in connection, in faith, in wisdom, and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

At the Table

It has been our hope, sincere belief, and now experience that as LifePointers of all ages gather around tables and IMMERSE ourselves in Scripture that we would encounter the power of God's Word ... together ... just as those first followers did. And yes, there are snacks and coffee, too!

Everyone is Welcome

Still have questions? Wondering if you have to know a lot about the Bible? What if you already read the Bible and know it well? Are kids welcome, and how will they participate? What if you're new to LifePoint or new to church? Wherever you are in your walk with Christ, IMMERSE is for you. Everyone is welcome, including our youngest friends, who, depending on age may be at a table with friends or back learning in KidsPoint.

What to Expect

IMMERSE works best when you have the week's reading plan complete when we meet. It usually takes about 10 to 20 minutes of reading a day for five days. The plan is emailed each week and can also be found below or in the IMMERSE Bible. IMMERSE is broken into times of fellowship, discussion, and Q&A. And there is always room for those who have a heart to serve too.
